The artist
Color, felt from the inside.
Tona E Zarrelli has been a self-taught artist all her life. She works mainly in acrylic and plaster on canvas, building textured layers that explore color, movement and emotion.
What she enjoys most is creating abstract blends that look as if they are coming out from inside the canvas, or opening into deep dimensions within it. She draws by eye and paints her own visions, and no canvas ever turns out quite the way she sees it in her thoughts.
She loves to sing and paint to her favorite smooth music, and she lets the rhythm guide her. A small sun or moon in the corner of each piece marks it as hers.
